BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION CABLES

Building and construction industries are highly regulated. In Europe cables used in these industries are, with the exception of fire performance cables, subject to the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). Compliance with the Construction Products Regulations to EN 50575 has been mandatory since July 2017 across Europe, classifying cables according to their reaction to fire.
We are compliant with the regulations and we can support our customers in identifying the most appropriate cable type and accompanying Euroclass for their project.
Projects across the spectrum of public, commercial and industrial buildings, and large-scale domestic residence plans, have requirements for connections to the electrical grid, fixed wiring, fire suppression and fire alarm systems, BMS systems for climate and lighting control, as well as fixtures and fittings such as elevators and escalators
Building and constructions industries use cable types as: fixed wiring, BMS cables, Low Voltage power cables, Medium Voltage power cables, rubber cables, data cables, coaxial cables and more important the cables must be
LSZH cables - they offer a minimum of 60% light visibility through smoke when subject to fire conditions and none of the toxic gases contained in PVC equivalent cables, or
Fire-resistant cables - fire resistant cables are suitable for sites where power supply needs to be secured at all times, also during a fire. These cables are particularly intended for installation where for the sake of safety it is required that alarm, control, signal and energy supply systems operate in case of a fire. Efficient technical support with cable selection or design, our building and construction cable solutions include logistical solutions including cable cutting to specific lengths and just-in-time delivery designed to minimize the requirement for labor intensive operations and stock holding onsite, thereby providing opportunities for efficiencies.
